Welcome to the Queensland College of Oriental Medicine Site
The College is situated in a serene 18 acre rainforest property in Diamond Valley, six kilometres from the township of Mooloolah on the Sunshine Coast. We are Queensland's leading and longest established Shiatsu College, specialising in Shiatsu and related Oriental Therapies since 1987.
Training is now offered in intensives with accommodation available at the College.International Students are welcome as QCOM is now a registered Cricos approved training organisation.
The College offers Nationally Recognised Training in Shiatsu including The Diploma of Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies (HLT50207). The College also offers an Advanced Diploma of Acupuncture and Oriental Therapies which is accredited by The Australian Natural Therapies Association (ANTA).Graduates of this qualification who join ANTA can offer Health Fund Rebates for acupuncture for all leading Health Insurance funds such as Medibank Private,HCF and MBF
Veterinary Shiatsu and Acupuncture training is also available especially for those seeking a career in the Equine Complimentary Medicine industry.
As class sizes are quite small (usually between six to twelve students), you are guaranteed to get individual attention.The focus at QCOM is on quality not quantity.
Mid-year enrolments are now being taken.
A new branch of the college will start operating in Byron Bay from July 09. The Austalian College of Eastern Medicine. It will offer the same courses offered at QCOM.
